Training, structure and socialisation are essential. Boerboels are intelligent so often they will test boundaries, especially as they mature. They need strong leadership, or they’ll try to take charge. But with consistency and effort, you’ll build an unbreakable bond. The more work you put in, the better your Boerboel will be.

Each Boerboel puppy is a unique blend of their mother and father. Because we know our dogs so well; their temperaments, traits, and lineage. We can hopefully anticipate how each puppy is likely to develop.

What to Have Ready at Home: To make your Boerboel’s transition smooth and comfortable, we recommend having the following essentials ready:

  • Extra large crate

  • Comfortable but sturdy bedding

  • Large food and water bowls

  • Training treats

  • Tough toys and safe chew items

  • Strong collar and lead and/or slip lead

  • Brush or grooming mitt and nail clippers
